Dr. Kyungwoo Kim

Secretary General of Labor Union , KOSHA, Republic of Korea

Kyungwoo Kim, Ph.D., is Secretary General of Labor Union, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. He was the psychology researcher of Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute (OSHRI) for 5 years since his has been worked in KOSHA.

He received his M.A in health psychology, and his Ph. D in occupational health psychology from Yeoung-Nam University in Korea. He also received his license of Professional Engineer of Ergonomics in 2017. He had a guest researcher experience of National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health in 2016 and has been attended the member of International Coordinating Group for Occupational Health Psychology from 2017. So his main research has focused on occupational health psychology such as trauma experience of workers, job stress and workload, safety climate, and cognitive perspective to prevent accidents. Currently He is involved in Prevention Culture research centered on Trust with German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) from 2018.

Safety and Health is the responsibility of society as a whole. This session will showcase prevention culture initiatives and will discuss how these efforts can contribute to improve the culture around occupational safety and health in the future.
