International Media Festival for Prevention

The IMFP is an integral part of the World Congress and highlights that successful prevention work can be advanced through outstanding creative multimedia initiatives. It provides a fascinating glimpse into the various ways different cultures approach occupational safety and health. The IMFP profiles films and multimedia productions about safety and health at work from all over the world. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to present their products and ideas to a major group of influential safety and health professionals.

On 6 October 2020, in the framework of the XXII World Congress Special Session, the 50 media products that made it to the IMFP Shortlist were announced.

Martina Hesse-Spötter, President of the ISSA Electricity Section and Holger Zingsheim, Head of the Communications Department of the BG ETEM, hosted this session and together with some IMFP jury members and IMFP participants, they took the audience in a media journey around the globe.

You can find the complete list on our website mediainprevention.org/en. Also, all 50 shortlisted media products can be viewed here.

From these 50 top media products, 18 will be nominated for a prize. These nominees will be announced at the beginning of next year.

On 20 September 2021, the 6 winners of the IMFP will be awarded in the presence of a large audience in the Special Media Session at the World Congress in Toronto.
