Safety Team Lead - Mining, Imperial Oil Resources, Canada

Jason Weibel is Safety Team Coordinator - Mining with Imperial Oil at Kearl Operations north of Fort McMurray Alberta. Mr. Weibel’s work history includes nearly a decade in mine operations roles and fifteen years in the occupational health and safety field. His professional experience in occupational health and safety has supported safe execution of work within mining, smelting, and petroleum industries.

Mr. Weibel received his Canadian Registered Safety Professional Designation in 2007 and his Certified Health and Safety Consultant designation in 2012. He is an Executive Advisor with the Alberta Mine Safety Association and has recently participated in the development of mine autonomy guidelines both provincially and globally.
